ESTATE DESIGN & BUILD
Muriwai Estate
MURIWAI, AUCKLAND
A complete estate landscape designed and built from the ground up — combining landforming, bespoke craftsmanship, mature planting and timeless materials into a landscape inspired by the Mediterranean and rooted in New Zealand's west coast.
Project Overview
Perched above the Tasman Sea, Muriwai Estate blends the rugged beauty of New Zealand's west coast with the timeless elegance of the Mediterranean. Designed by Planters, the landscape features white stone terraces, an established olive orchard, Italian cypress, natural timber, and generous planting, creating a refined estate inspired by the character of rural Tuscany while remaining unmistakably at home in its dramatic coastal setting.
From initial landscape design through to complete construction, Planters delivered every stage of the project, including earthworks, drainage, civil infrastructure, irrigation, hardscape construction, bespoke timber features, water elements, and the establishment of thousands of trees, shrubs, and groundcovers. Every element was carefully crafted to create a landscape that feels timeless, refined, and seamlessly connected to both the architecture and its surroundings.

Outcome
Designed for generations.
From the first concept through to the final planting, Muriwai Estate was envisioned as a landscape that would become more beautiful with time.
