PUBLIC LANDSCAPING
Takarunga Tihi
Devonport, Auckland
A landmark public landscape where carefully considered native planting restores one of Auckland's most iconic volcanic landscapes.
Project Overview
Takarunga Tihi is a significant public landscape restoration project located on Maungauika / North Head overlooking the Waitematā Harbour and Auckland city.
Planters delivered the complete softscape package, transforming the site through extensive native planting, premium topsoil placement and mulching. The planting palette was carefully selected to establish successfully within the exposed coastal environment while complementing the site's cultural significance and natural volcanic landscape.
The completed landscape softens the hard infrastructure, enhances biodiversity and provides a resilient planting environment that will continue to mature over time.
