Project Overview
Takarunga Tihi is a significant public landscape restoration project located on Maungauika / North Head overlooking the Waitematā Harbour. Working alongside the principal civil contractor responsible for the surrounding infrastructure works, Planters was engaged to develop the landscape design and deliver the complete softscape package across the site.
Planters completed premium topsoil installation, extensive native planting, mulching, and long-term establishment maintenance. The landscape was carefully designed to respond to the site's cultural significance, exposed coastal environment, and volcanic character, creating a resilient planting scheme that will continue to strengthen over time.
